CEA is now calling for nominations for members to attend the AEA Delegate Assembly and NEA Representative Assembly. These are great ways to represent CEA at the state and national level, to see how AEA and NEA make their decisions … and to shape those decisions with your voice!
The 2018 AEA Delegate Assembly will be held at The Scottsdale Resort. The DA will start at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 11 and resume at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 12 (concluding when all new business items have been considered). Discounted room rates will be available for delegates who would like to spend the night at the hotel.
The 2018 NEA Representative Assembly will be held in Minneapolis from June 30 – July 5. Delegates will be expected to travel to Minneapolis on June 29 (at the latest) and fly home on July 6 (at the earliest) so they can attend all RA meetings. CEA will cover the cost of your airfare and hotel (assuming you room with another delegate), and will provide a per diem for food and transportation costs.
The deadline to submit nominations is 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6. Please check your work e-mail for instructions on how to nominate a fellow member (or yourself!) to participate in one of these opportunities. We are also looking for members to help serve on the Elections Committee this year.
